  • Packing your travel equipment is one of the important parts to consider before you start your trip.
  • Here, we make a checklist of necessary travel gear and stuff that may help you pack for your travel to Iran or even other countries.
  • As a general rule, you should always try to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum.
  • Please note that Iran is an Islamic country, and you must wear appropriate clothing, which is part of the experience of traveling in Iran. Please refer to our Iran Guide Information section on the “Iran Dress Code”.
  • Please visit our " Iran Adventure Travel (Hiking, Trekking, Climbing, Skiing Tours) Equipment Checklist.

  • There is no weight limit other than that imposed by your airline.
  • We ask you to restrict your luggage to one main item of baggage and one small daysack.
  • A backpack or a handy bag would be more appropriate for your city trip.
  • You should be able to carry your luggage.
  • Your baggage on the trek will be carried by a team of mules or porters.
  • The packed weight of your trek bag (Duffel bag) whilst trekking, including your sleeping bag and camping mattress, which is transported to the altitude, should be no more than (Each two-person one 15kg)

  • For clients who are making their own flight arrangements (We suggest taking your ticket with Turkish Airlines), Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport is the most convenient for joining the group.
  • Please inform our support team of your flight and travel arrangements.
  • The group transfer will be arranged from Tehran Imam Khomeini (IKA) Airport.
  • If you are in Tehran and staying in a Hotel, This tour has a hotel pick-up service, so after your booking, you will send us your hotel booking information, and our guide will pick you up from your hotel at 09:00 a.m.
  • If you are traveling on the UK or Canadian passport we highly recommend flying with Turkish Airlines and taking the group transfers as this avoids extra costs for an "escorting guide" during your extended stay.

  • The local currency of Iran is the Rial or Tuman (10,000 Rials). Paypal or International credit cards are not widely accepted (and attract hefty commission rates where they are) and whilst there are ATMs they do not accept cards from foreign bank accounts.
  • So you must pay in cash, or you can use Iranian Debit Card. (Top Iran Tour can purchase your Iran Travel Debit Card that you can charge with local currency once and use it during your travel in Iran.)
  • We recommend that you take your travel money in either US dollars or euros in cash and not in other currencies, and you can change it in airport exchange or your leader will assist you in changing small amounts during the holiday.
  • Depending on your travel duration, approximately 300 € should be spent for miscellaneous expenses and tips.
  • Tipping for services is customary in Iran and it is usual to tip the members of your trip crew, including the local guide.

  • You should contact your doctor or travel clinic to check whether you require any specific vaccinations or other preventive measures.
  • There are no special infectious epidemic diseases in Iran, but, basically, it is recommended immunization for polio, diphtheria, whooping cough and tetanus for worldwide mountain travel.
  • Malarial prophylaxis is not usually required for trips in the mountains, however, if you are visiting rural and remote low lying areas then they might be necessary.
  • On holidays to more remote areas, you should also have a dentist checkup.

  • On this holiday, you will ascend to the max altitude of 5671 m
But we have an acclimatization process
  • You will reach this level after 3 days of touching lower altitudes
  • Please consider if you have any special former altitude sickness

  • Our tours prices are LAND ONLY and for the itinerary joining in Tehran. The prices varies depending on the time you book, which is shown in the calander, in the "Request to Book" section.

  • For visa purposes, a valid health and accident insurance policy is also to be provided for the duration of the stay.
  • All corresponding forms are requested after booking with you.
  • Please note that your passport does not have an entry stamp from Israel. Entry stamps from the USA are tolerated.
